The Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong's Jump Rope Fun Day to set a world record for the SDGs will be held at our school on June 28 (Friday). Recently, our Principal and Form 1 students participated in an interview with the Catholic Hong Kong Diocese's weekly publication, "The Catholic News."
In the interview, Principal Cheng expressed his honor in hosting this event as the "home ground." He noted that the faculty and students are working together to organize the event, and parents are actively fundraising for the long-term development of the diocese. The Principal also mentioned that in response to the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the school is actively organizing various health-related activities to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage students to engage in physical fitness.
Additionally, a Form 1 student representative shared their excitement about participating in this fundraising and record-breaking jump rope event. In addition to regular jump rope activities at school, all Form 1 students have been intensively practicing during physical education classes and making good use of their holidays and after-school time to improve their skills. They hope to showcase their individual styles and push their limits. The students also aspire to become "little role models" at Marian College, inspiring their classmates and friends to join in the fundraising efforts and help those in need, embodying the Catholic spirit of charity.
